Been busy this weekend as my brother and his wife came to stay - mind you, that's always good because he comes loaded down with red wine and his tool box then he goes around my little house fixing any jobs that are outstanding!!   Can't be bad, eh?   Also went to my great nieces' birthday teaparty on Saturday which was lovely as I don't see them very often.  Jasmine was 6 and Shakira was 4, so old enough not to be any trouble!!

Have done some scrapping yesterday and today.   Did the weekly challenge on UKS with photos of my son's hotel in Italy which is due to open at Easter.

I have just done this layout for the weekly challenge on UK Scrappers.   You had to use turquoise and purple (my favourite colour), scrap about yourself and use butterflies, representing freedom.   It is a lovely photo of Ken, my late husband, and very typical of his smile!

Hold on!   Something strange has happened.   Added a pretty background but have lost my lovely purple!  Will I ever get the hang of all this blogging stuff?
Here's a picture of the layout I did yesterday with my crafty friends.  We meet most Saturdays and do our own thing, and also do a fair amount of chattering, drinking coffee and eating chocolate goodies.   Is there a better way to spend a Saturday then?

Modern technology

Well, I have been since Saturday without any landline telephone.   In this modern day of technical wizardry wouldn't you think they could have done something about it before now.   Actually, goodness knows how long it has been out of service because, of course, I have been in France since 20th December!!   Anyway, all fixed now at no cost to me.  Has given me a chance to get some crafting done too as I had to wait for the engineer.

Rural France

Have moved from my daughter's to my sister's in France now for a few days, as I return to the UK on Saturday after almost a month out here in this glorious countryside.   Weather is sunny and have spent the morning in Marciac at the market watching the world go by.   Life is so much slower and gentler here and totally uncommercial - rather like the UK in the 50's.
